The local bus company Kolumbus makes it easy to travel in Haugesund, a single ticket in the city centre costs only NOK 10, -. In rest of Rogaland you can buy single ticket, 24-hour pass or weekly pass. The bus company Skyss runs the routes in Sveio and Etne. With boat

There are car ferries from Hirtshals in Denmark to Kristiansand, 5.5 hours from Haugesund, or to Tananger, about 2 hours from Haugesund.
By plane
Haugesund Airport Karmøy has daily flights from Oslo, and several charter destinations. Airport bus from the airport to Haugesund city centre for some departures, the trip takes about 20 minutes. The bus stops at several hotels and outside the bus station, for times see: flybussen.no
It is possible to hire a car at the airport.
With train
Sørlandsbanen between Oslo and Stavanger via Kristiansand runs several times daily throughout the year. The tour takes about 8 hours. Stavanger is only 2 hours away from Haugesund.
